Shahed-136

The Shahed-136 is an Iranian-made delta-wing loitering munition powered by a small piston engine (MD-550). Designed as a low-cost one-way attack drone, it navigates via GPS/INS to its target and detonates its integrated warhead on impact. Iran used large numbers of Shahed-136 drones alongside ballistic and cruise missiles during its April 2024 attack on Israel, and the Houthis have employed them extensively against targets in the Red Sea region. Also known as Geran-2, Shahed 136, HESA Shahed-136.
